Congratulations to our new President-elect Vallie Piloian and Vice President-elect Erin Monroe.  I know they will both do a great job when they assume their new roles in January. Vallie, Erin and re-elected Treasurer, Becki and Secretary, Paula, will make a great team and work well together to promote our club and Oviedo. 

After the elections we had a great brainstorming session and came up with several locations for field trips and a lot of ideas for presentations next year.  Several members graciously volunteered to give presentations on a wide variety of subjects.  We had several new visitors and they joined in and provided some great suggestions as well.  

Thank you to the Oviedo Historical Society who hosted our booth at the Farmer's Market on the first Saturday in November.  The weather was perfect, and our work received many compliments from the vendors and the customers.  One of the Society volunteers created a hopscotch game and we watched and photographed adults teaching their children the game and playing it themselves.   

Yesterday we had a booth at Great Day in the Country courtesy of the Oviedo Woman's Club. We could not do these events without our members who generously give their time to take, process and post their photos.  Doing events such as this is the best way to publicize our growing club.  If you couldn't help at these events, we missed you, but you can check out the action on Zenfolio.  And don't forget you will have lots of opportunities to volunteer at events as we countdown to the new year.
